« Surprises »
Room n°9 : Guillaume Louot
Inspired by a David Hochney’s « pool painting » :
A Bigger Splash (1967), the artist has painted the walls of this room, creating a series of variable geometry pieces, which are structured around a Polaroid painting design, using all the R.A.L. colors, however especially a blue swimming pool colour.

Room n° 23 : Julia Kremer
When this artist arrived at the hotel she chose a picture in a newspaper.
She enlarged it, distorted it, and got it multiplied at the corner store’s copy machine. She then used all the copies to covered the walls of this room.

Room N° 25: Simone Simon
In this room, you’ll find a CD, a photographic print and a sound installation of the artist.
« Don’t mind the fox passing by » : this is a sound and photographic installation.
Currently on view at the Eva Vautier Art Gallery, in Nice .

Room n° 34 : Cécile Bart
During the « Supervues » event, Cécile Bart totally transformed this room.
We have been sharing it with our visitors for one year.
This as a ingenious and generous idea from the artist, even if the room is a bit « fragile ».
This is made of a Tergal fibres canvas, painted, and then wiped so it can keep a kind of relative transparency. It has then been affixed to the wall and marouflaged.
A rare opportunity to immerse yourself into an authentic piece of art.

« The shack »
-« That would be nice to offer a special place such as a shack, a cabin, a permanent vessel. An open place, cut off from the stress of the world, where one would be able to engage in contemplation. Just for a few minutes… An open window to be shared in the dark. »
-« …. Where about ? »
-« Here, at the Hotel. We could project some movies there : some sensitive movies, some love movies, some mysterious movies, some absurd ones, some philosophical ones… »
